Museum Hours, Fees, and Location

Museum Hours of Operation:

 
The Heritage Farmstead Museum is closed on Mondays
 

Docent Guided Tours:

Tuesday - Sunday: Tour at 1:30 p.m. or by appointment.

(Includes tour of Farrell-Wilson House, Outbuildings, and Grounds)

 

Tuesday - Sunday: Grounds open from: 9:00am till 4:30pm

 

 The Heritage Farmstead museum observes the following holidays and will be closed.

Prices:

Self Guided Grounds Tours - $2.00 per person

(Grounds only, no access to the Farrell-Wilson House or outbuildings)

 

Adult Guided Tours - $5.00 per person,

Seniors (65 plus) and Students (5-18) - $3.50 per person

 

Museum Members and children 4 and under are free

 


SCOUT TOURS
:

 REQUIRE ADVANCE RESERVATIONS.

  Brownie and Junior Badge workshops are conducted at the museum.

 "Please call the office to reserve a date."
 

  • Tours are booked on a first come first served basis.

  • Tours must be PREPAID.

  • Cost: $5.00 per scout, $3.00 per adult, 2 Scout Leaders Free.

  • Scouts will receive a patch from the Farmstead.

  • (Please let us know if other siblings will be attending
     and how many siblings will be attending).


Shopping

An assortment of reproduction and handmade items,

books, and gifts are available at the Museum Store.


Store Hours:

By appointment or during the guided tour presentation.

We accept: Cash, Checks, Debit, Visa and MasterCard (MC).

Directions to the Museum

Address: HFM, 1900 West 15th Street, Plano, Texas 75075

W. 15th Street, in Plano, is also named "Norman F. Whitsitt Parkway and Tx-FM544.

The Heritage Farmstead Museum is located 20 miles north of downtown Dallas, Texas, using US75-N / North Central Expressway route.

Using US-75 North, exit on 15th Street in Plano, Tx (Exit 28n). Turn Left and proceed West on 15th Street. 1.3 miles "West of US-75", the HFM is on your Left at the intersection of W. 15th Street and Pittman Dr., (1 block East of Custer in the Southwest corner of the 15th/Custer intersection, east of the "CHASE Bank" branch office, which is addressed "2000 W. 15th Street, Plano, Tx")

Using US-75 South, Exit on 15th Street in Plano, Tx (Exit 29s). At 15th Street, turn Right and proceed West on 15th Street to Pittman Dr. (See paragraph above for more details.)

From W190 / Pres. George Bush Turnpike, "East or West bound", exit Custer Road, turn Left (or Right if West bound), heading North, proceed to 15th Street, turn Right, proceed 1 block to Pitman Dr., and turn right, pull into the parking lot on your left.
